Portia B Resnick, PhD, ATC, BCTMB
Portia B. Resnick is a nationally certified and state licensed athletic trainer and massage therapist with over 20 years of experience in the sports medicine field. She completed her PhD in Kinesiology, at the University of Hawaii at Manoa where her research explored the use of heart rate variability as a clinical measure of recovery in NCAA Division I athletes. Currently she is the clinical education coordinator for the athletic training program at the University of Tulsa where in addition to teaching she maintains an active clinical practice in both athletic training and massage therapy. She has previously presented her research at the American Massage Therapy Association convention, the Far West Athletic Trainers' Association convention, the Mid America Athletic Trainers' Association convention and the KinesioTape Research Symposium.
